I'm a photographer and creative based out of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and storytelling is at the core of everything I do. Through my photography business, Kelly Nicola Studio, I work primarily with couples and weddings, and from the very beginning I have been obsessed with capturing the moments that happen in between the posed ones.

The idea for The Home Video Co. did not come from a business plan. It came from my own wedding.

When my husband and I got married in April 2025, I pulled out a camcorder I have had since 2010 and passed it around to our friends and family throughout the day. No instructions, no crew, just the people we love most pointing it at whatever felt worth remembering. What came back was something I could not have planned or staged if I tried. Candid, emotional, hilarious, real. It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.











When I launched Kelly Nicola Studio, I immediately added it as an optional service for my photography couples. I wanted them to have the same experience I had. The response was something I did not expect. More than 50% of my couples started booking it, and it confirmed what I already knew: there is something about a camcorder in the hands of guests that no professional camera can replicate.

That is when I decided to take it further. I did not want this experience to be exclusive to couples who booked me for photography. So I built The Home Video Co. as its own brand, so that any couple could have access to it regardless of who they hired for photos.

I studied photography at The Cleveland Institute of Art and earned my degree in Hospitality Management with a minor in Event Planning from Kent State University. That background shapes how I run every part of this business. I care deeply about thoughtful planning, clear communication, and making sure every client feels taken care of from the first message to final delivery.
